We have a few announcements for you this weekend, as you tackle Week 5's materials, on Violence Against Women in the Home & Community.

1. Your Field Assignment

Be sure to work on your "Engage Your Community" assignment this week! In your town or region, locate an organization that is working on an issue highlighted in this class. Interview the people at this organization: What is the name of the group? What is its mission or goal? How does it carry out its work? What is your sense of its effectiveness?

Share your findings here on our class forum. We already have a wonderful set of responses from students across the globe—see the map below!

You can choose to talk about Week 5 or Week 4's materials (we have added extra sessions this week to make up for last week.) Discussion guides are all available on the Discussion Toolkit section of the Interact Portal, which you can download before your talk.

Visit the Interact page of our website to learn more about these opportunities to connect with a global community of learners, practitioners and activists!

4. Clarifications & Logistics
We noticed that some folks were not able to access parts of the forum last week, related to Education. We have made sure these sections are now all accessible. Do not worry if you were previously unable to post; please add your comments now. As long as you complete your work before the end of this course, we will count it for a Stanford Statement of Accomplishment. However, we strongly recommend you keep up each week, because there's a lot of interesting new material to cover and a variety of assignments to help you check your learning and engage with your community.
